杉杉來了 Boss & Me

杉杉來了 or Shan Shan Lai Le, is one of best Chinese dramas I have seen. It leaves out so many cliches that other dramas on Boss and Employee relationships have. I think the choice of cast was genius, there is so much chemistery between the main characters. The roles fit Zhao Li Ying and Zhang Han too well. Huang Ming also did very well and was absolutely charming in his role.

Anyway moving along, what I really liked about this drama was that there was rarely any antagonist scheming in the background to break Feng Teng and Xue Shan Shan apart. Yes, Feng Teng did have a childhood friend that has always love him but honestly she wasn't that bad and Feng Teng was well aware that she did not like Shan Shan very much at first. Another cliche that they left out was a very prejudiced and picky mother on the wealthy man's side because Feng Teng's parents both died long ago. The closeness all the characters have with each other are very heartwarming. Shan Shan's innocence and kindness just matches sooo well with Feng Teng's coolness but silent caring. Although dramas about bosses dating their employees is nothing new, I find the reason to Shan Shan's employment and development with Feng Teng to be quite refreshing and fun to watch. Feng Teng and Shan Shan don't start off disliking each other or anything, there is also no stupid or unecessary misunderstandings that I feel like a lot of Asian dramas throw in just for the sake of making things more dramatic and dragging out the plotline.
